Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has announced his intention to contest the Westlands Constituency Member of Parliament seat in 2027. He unveiled a four-point agenda, notably allowing voters to choose his political party.

• Nelson Havi’s four-point agenda focuses on a voice in Parliament, equity and inclusion, accountability, and development.
• He previously ran in 2022 under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, losing to ODM’s Tim Wanyonyi.
• Havi recently left his position as chair of the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) board after his term was cut short by six months.
• He garnered 19,500 votes in the 2022 election, compared to Tim Wanyonyi's 58,400 votes.
