Keynan called for a united pushback against long-standing profiling and discrimination, following Gachagua’s claims that President William Ruto was giving IDs to "non-Kenyans" and met with al-Shabaab militants.

• Keynan met with Deputy President Kithure Kindiki along with other North Eastern MPs to discuss development projects and address the ongoing profiling concerns.
• Deputy President Kindiki reaffirmed the government's commitment to ending discriminatory vetting practices for identification documents along border regions, upholding President Ruto's directive to ease the process.
• The controversy stems from Gachagua's statements made during a trip to the United States, which have been widely condemned by top government officials, including DP Kindiki and Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen.
