Stephen Isaboke, the Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, has assumed the Chairmanship of the African Preparatory Process for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WRC-27).

• This appointment places Isaboke at the forefront of Africa’s strategic and technical coordination for global spectrum and satellite orbit negotiations through the WRC-27 study cycle.
• The handover occurred during the 2nd African Preparatory Meeting (APM27-2) at the Mövenpick Hotel in Nairobi.
• A key focus for APM27-2 is strengthening Africa’s position to secure high-value spectrum bands and orbital slots for broadband expansion and drive digital inclusion.
