Deputy President Kithure Kindiki hosted over 3,500 women opinion leaders at his rural home in Irunduni, Tharaka Nithi County, to announce various development projects aimed at improving the region.

• A Ksh1.2 billion rural electrification project is planned for 100 percent connectivity under the last-mile program, with an additional Ksh800 million allocated.
• Construction will resume on six stalled roads, including the Chogoria-Weru and Keria-Magutuni-Kathwana roads, which were halted during the President Uhuru Kenyatta regime.
• Six new markets are under construction with another six planned, and Ksh7 billion is set aside for a new Nithi Bridge.
