A 37-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a notorious gang terrorizing Garissa residents, following the recovery of a stolen Glock 17 pistol and military gear during a raid. The arrest by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is part of an operation targeting the gang responsible for a violent robbery on August 5, 2025.

• The stolen Glock 17 pistol, with 17 live rounds, was recovered from the woman's home, alongside the victim's and his wife's national identity cards.
• The DCI and Madogo Police Station, led by the Deputy RCIO of the North Eastern Region, conducted the raid.
• Items recovered included a military smock jacket, a service-colour belt, a Kenya Police Service Certificate of Appointment, and a military identification card, in addition to 11 passports and other stolen valuables.
