Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) official John Lorionokou has been nominated as the registrar of political parties. His nomination, along with other key appointments, has been submitted to the National Assembly for approval.

• John Lorionokou, who was Kisumu County returning officer in the 2017 General Election, will replace Anne Nderitu if approved.
• President William Ruto also nominated Ms. Claris Awuor Onganga for chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) and Ms. Agatha Wanjiku Wahome as assistant registrar of political parties.
• The nominations follow recommendations from the Public Service Commission and have been confirmed by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed.
