Enock Andanje, a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirant for the Malava MP race, died after collapsing at a public function on Friday. The incident occurred during a widows’ empowerment forum also attended by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

• Andanje was pronounced dead at Oasis Hospital after efforts to revive him at the scene failed.
• He had recently received the endorsement of the Abatovo clan of the Kabras sub-tribe for the Malava parliamentary seat in 2027.
• Andanje was the Chief Principal of Bungoma High School and highly respected in the education sector, having also headed several other secondary schools.
