- University Vice-Chancellor Kiplagat Kotut issued a press release on August 14, confirming that all teaching, examinations, research, and academic programmes are continuing as scheduled.
- The Universities’ Academic Staff Union (UASU) issued a seven-day strike notice on August 12, citing the university's alleged failure to pay academic staff their June and July 2025 salaries at the rates agreed upon in the 2021–2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- UASU also alleges that Moi University has not implemented the Return-to-Work Formula signed on November 30, 2024, and has failed to honor clauses related to staff review, promotion, and retirement age provisions.
