Small-scale tea factories in Kenya significantly boosted their earnings at the Mombasa Tea Auction, bringing in Sh882.4 million. This marked a notable increase from the previous week's earnings of Sh772.7 million, highlighting a positive trend for tea farmers.

• Total earnings for 70 factories from the sale of 3,543,878kg of tea reached Sh882.4 million.
• Kimunye sold the highest volume at 156,967kgs, and achieved Sh48.5 million in sales, with an average premium price between Sh352 and Sh306 per kilogramme.
• The Tea Board of Kenya (TBK) Director Charles Kirigwi urged growers to maintain quality to fetch better prices, as Kenya tea's high grade attracts international buyers.
