In a rare display of political collaboration, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) are set to hold a joint Parliamentary Group meeting on Monday, jointly presided over by President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

• The meeting, at the KCB Leadership Centre in Nairobi, aims to provide direction on implementing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last October.
• President Ruto stated the focus would be on strengthening national unity and accelerating development, while Junet Mohamed indicated discussions would also include compensation for victims of recent protests.
• A five-member committee, chaired by Agnes Zani, was appointed last week to oversee the rollout of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report's 10-point agenda and recommendations.
