Five suspects were arrested in Kakamega Town on August 16, 2025, during a police operation following a public tip-off. They are awaiting arraignment after being found in possession of bhang, uncustomed goods, and suspected stolen property.

• Approximately 1,412 rolls of bhang were seized.
• The arrests were conducted by the National Police Service (NPS).
• Suspects were found with 16 packets of Oris cigarettes, 25 packets of Milano cigarettes, one Supermatch packet, and three 6kg gas cylinders.
