Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has threatened to impeach Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale over remarks perceived as tribal and divisive towards the Mount Kenya region. Olekina called Duale's comments “pure poison” and analogous to issues that led to the impeachment of DP Gachagua.

• On Saturday, August 16, in Balambala, Garissa County, Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale stated there is no superior community in Kenya.
• Former Senior Economic Adviser Moses Kuria also criticized Duale, alongside Tiaty MP William Kamket and Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago, for similar “superiority complex” remarks.
• Senator Olekina asserted that Duale, as a Cabinet Secretary and policymaker, should not engage in "tribal politician" rhetoric.
