  • Principal Secretary for Energy Alex Wachira stated that KenGen plans to add an extra 63MW to the national grid by September next year from a revamp project at Olkaria Power Plant, costing Sh15.6B, which is 76 per cent complete.
  • KenGen Chief Executive Peter Njenga announced plans to supply an additional 1,500MW from renewable sources, including geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar, within the next ten years.
