In a significant move signalling a "grand coalition" return, President William Ruto and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga have secured broad parliamentary support for key legislative proposals underpinning Ruto's administration. This bipartisan commitment, established in a joint communique, aims to implement a 10-point agenda agreed upon in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2025.

• The joint communique was signed by Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Senate Minority Leader Stewart Madzayo, and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed.

• President Ruto specifically vowed to crack down on leaders, particularly Members of Parliament and Senators, engaged in bribery for legislative duties.
