Nairobi is undertaking a significant infrastructure renewal project, particularly in the Upper Hill area, to match its rising global stature and address chronic issues like traffic congestion and poor drainage. This strategic investment aims to boost economic activity and improve liveability in the city's financial and administrative heart.

• Approximately 5.37 kilometers of main arterial roads in Upper Hill, including Kenyatta Avenue, Ngong Road, and Haile Selassie Avenue, are being reconstructed.
• The project is being executed by the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) through the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
• In addition to road reconstruction, the project includes upgrades to drainage, landscaping, traffic safety ancillary works, and the creation of new bypasses to relieve congestion on Uhuru Highway.
