NACADA, in conjunction with Murang’a Police, seized counterfeit alcohol valued at Ksh. 1.4 million in a raid at Kahuho Market, Murang’a County. A woman believed to be the store manager of suspect Peter Nduati, alias Mike Power, was arrested.

• 290 crates of assorted counterfeit alcoholic drinks and several cartons of spirits with fake KRA stamps were recovered.
• The operation is part of an ongoing 100-day crackdown on illicit alcohol initiated by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.
• NACADA CEO Dr. Anthony Omerikwa stated that Peter Nduati owns 59 alcohol dispensing outlets in Murang’a County and has repeatedly evaded law enforcement.
