Dr. Richard Lesiyampe has been appointed the new Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), succeeding Dr. Evanson Kamuri who served for six years. The change was announced by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, with Dr. Lesiyampe tasked with addressing the hospital's budget challenges and strengthening leadership.

• KNH's budget has been reduced by Ksh.3 billion, creating a gap that Dr. Lesiyampe is expected to fill through revenue generation.
• Dr. Lesiyampe previously served as the Acting CEO of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH).
• Mr. Joshua Clinton Ombiri Okise has been appointed Acting CEO of JOOTRH, which recently achieved Level 6 status.
