The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced a temporary closure of a section of the Rironi-Kamandura road for over two months, starting August 22, 2025, to facilitate reconstruction work.

• Closure period: August 22, 2025 to October 31, 2025.
• Affected roads include Waiyaki Way, Limuru Road, and Mai Mahiu Road.
• KeNHA stated the closure is for the reconstruction of the Rironi/Kamandura Interchange, including slip roads, loops, and approach roads.
• Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, such as the Old Naivasha Road, or divert at Mutarakwa Junction onto Limuru Road.
• Luka Kimeli, acting Director General of KeNHA, requested cooperation with traffic management plans and personnel.
