Cleophas Malala, Deputy Leader of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), has alleged a secret night meeting between Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to deploy goons in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) on Thursday, August 21.

• The alleged purpose of deploying goons is to disrupt a peaceful procession by DCP supporters receiving party leader Rigathi Gachagua upon his arrival from the United States.
• Malala claimed George Aladwa and Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi reportedly instructed the goons to harm citizens, destroy property, and loot businesses.
• The former Kakamega Senator stated the plan involves state-sponsored goons activated by Sakaja and Murkomen.
