The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has refuted a fake memo circulating on social media that suggested the Supreme Court was considering the dissolution of Parliament. This comes amidst allegations by President William Ruto of widespread corruption among Members of Parliament.

• The fake memo stated that if the Chief Justice allowed the dissolution, IEBC would hold fresh general elections for all Parliamentary seats.
• President Ruto accused Senators of taking Kshs 150 million to influence a matter and MPs of receiving up to Kshs 10 million to pass the Anti-Money Laundering Bill.
• A newly formed Multi-Agency Team on War Against Graft (MAT), established by President Ruto, was suspended by the High Court on Wednesday following a legal challenge.
