Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a fraudster in Nairobi who allegedly scammed a job seeker out of Ksh130,000. The suspect posed as an aide to the Head of Public Service to promise a government job.

• Victim: A woman working in Lebanon, contacted the suspect through TikTok in February 2024.
• Fraudulent Amount: The victim sent Ksh130,000 in "facilitation fees" via Western Union.
• Arrest Date: The suspect was arrested on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
• Context: This incident follows another recent arrest in Eldoret on July 23 involving two suspects who allegedly defrauded over 100 young people with fake foreign job promises.
