The High Court in Eldoret has issued an injunction preventing Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Director General Daniel Kiptoo from developing disputed family land in Uasin Gishu County amidst a succession dispute. This ruling favors Kiptoo’s half-sister, Loise Jerop, until their late father’s estate is properly administered and distributed.

• The contested property, Kiplombe/Kuinet Block 2 (Rotich and Birech) 21, measures 22.29 hectares.
• The court barred Kiptoo from constructing a petrol station, greenhouses, or other commercial infrastructure on the land.
• Justice Reuben Nyakundi directed that the orders be served on the OCS Soy Police Station, the area chief, and the Deputy Registrar of the High Court in Eldoret.
