The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kenya has apprehended Abraham Kimeli for allegedly defrauding a Kenyan woman of Sh130,000 using a job scam on TikTok.

• Sh130,000 was sent by the victim, who was based in Lebanon, as "facilitation fees" for a fake job offer.
• The suspect, Abraham Kimeli, posed as the personal assistant to the Head of Public Service.
• The scam involved a TikTok user named “City Tycoon” and a fabricated job offer letter from the Public Service Commission in February 2024.
