The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is actively investigating 822 county officials for corruption-related cases valued at over Ksh.1.6 billion. This initiative is part of an intensified anti-corruption drive that has seen significant progress in recent months.

• The EACC has completed 89 high-profile cases in the last eight months, with 82 forwarded for prosecution.
• These cases involve high-ranking individuals including four current and former county governors, two former Cabinet Secretaries, and a Principal Secretary.
• Since the start of the year, the EACC has recovered 12 properties valued at about Ksh.600 million and over Ksh.105 million in cash.
• Proactive investigations have prevented the potential loss of Ksh.7.2 billion in public funds.
