Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome has announced the selection of 15 additional counties for the next phase of Kenya’s national land records digitization programme. This expansion aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in land administration nationwide, building on the initial phase in Nairobi and Murang’a counties.

• The digitization process, part of the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS) or Ardhisasa, is projected to cost not less than Sh35 billion.
• The initiative involves converting physical land records to digital formats to reduce fraud and improve service delivery.
• Full nationwide implementation is expected within the next six years, requiring consistent funding over a period of five to six years.
