Deputy President Kithure Kindiki assured Wajir County residents that the Kenya Kwanza administration will not sideline the North Eastern region in national development, vowing equal treatment for all Kenyans during the Wajir County Economic Empowerment program on Saturday at Ohahey Grounds.

• DP Kindiki highlighted the lifting of discriminatory vetting for National Identification Cards in Northern Kenya, a policy previously causing hurdles for youth.
• The administration is constructing the 750-kilometer Mandera-Isiolo road network, described as the longest road built since independence.
• Other projects include electricity hybridization plants in Isiolo, Wajir, and Mandera counties, eight fresh produce modern markets in Wajir County, and affordable housing projects including hostels for local TVETs.
