Nyeri town experienced significant transport disruption on Monday as matatu operators staged protests against their forced relocation to the new Field Marshal Muthoni Kirima bus terminus. The demonstrations left hundreds, including schoolchildren, stranded and turned violent in some areas as operators blocked roads and confronted authorities.
