The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced it will allocate a portion of a Ksh27.5 billion loan from the African Development Bank towards consultancy services for a trade and transport facilitation study on the 749KM Isiolo–Mandera highway. This move aims to improve trade facilitation along the vital corridor.

• The study will involve assessing traffic and trade flows, collecting baseline data, and proposing recommendations to improve the Isiolo–Mandera corridor.
• KeNHA, as the implementing agency, is inviting eligible consulting firms with at least eight years of experience in relevant fields.
• The 749-kilometre road is part of the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project, with a total estimated cost of Ksh85 billion.
