Cummins C&G has launched a new engine rebuild centre in Nairobi, enhancing aftermarket support for Cummins engines and power equipment throughout East Africa. This facility, located on Lusaka Road, features a dynamometer test system for evaluating generator performance and will also serve as a technical training hub.
- The centre is equipped with a dynamometer test system capable of measuring output power, voltage, frequency stability, fuel efficiency, cooling performance, and exhaust emissions.
- Erick Sangoro, Managing Director of Cummins C&G, stated that dyno testing verifies rated capacity, ensures genset reliability, and detects issues early.
- Cummins C&G, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Car & General, has been the authorized Cummins distributor in East Africa since 2006.
