Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, has reignited debate by insisting that Members of Parliament (MPs) drop their involvement in the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF). Speaking on Katiba Day Celebrations, he called for a referendum to address what he views as a conflict of interest, stating that parliamentary roles should be limited to representation, legislation, and oversight, with development implementation left to county governments.
