Kenya Power has outlined a new guide for post-pay customers to verify the accuracy of their electricity bills, acknowledging that consumers may sometimes find their bills suspicious.

• Customers can send a clear picture of their meter reading to Kenya Power's WhatsApp at 0702 977 977 to initiate a verification process.
• A 15-digit reference code will be automatically generated upon submission, and a site visit by a Kenya Power representative may be arranged if physical verification is needed.
• For pre-pay customers, Kenya Power explained that token pricing varies based on monthly usage, with customers using less than 30 tokens charged Ksh12.23 per unit, between 30 to 100 tokens at Ksh16.45 per unit, and 101 to 15,000 units at Ksh19.02 per unit.
