President William Ruto announced that every Harambee Stars player and technical staff member will receive a two-bedroom house under the affordable housing scheme. This reward follows their exemplary performance in the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024), where they reached the quarterfinals. The announcement was made at a State House luncheon celebrating their performance. Each recipient will be required to contribute Sh1 million or opt for a 20-year mortgage to cover half the cost. In the same tournament, the 8th edition of Chan 2024, Sudan and Senegal are set to compete for the bronze medal on Friday at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
