Dangote Group and Ethiopian Investment Holdings have signed a deal to build a US$2.5 billion fertiliser plant in Ethiopia. This major investment aims to boost Ethiopia's agricultural output and food security.

• The plant is projected to produce up to 3 million metric tons of fertiliser annually.
• Dangote Group will own a 60% stake, with Ethiopia holding 40% through EIH.
• Current Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated the project will create jobs and ensure reliable fertiliser supply, fostering Ethiopia's path to food sovereignty.
