Eight individuals suspected of being part of a livestock theft ring operating across Kirinyaga, Embu, Nyeri, and Murang’a counties have been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

• Eight suspects were apprehended in Kagio and Mwea towns in Kirinyaga County during a planned raid.
• The DCI conducted intelligence-driven investigations to dismantle the well-coordinated cattle theft network.
• The arrested group included not only thieves but also buyers, transporters, and butchers involved in the illicit trade.
