Adrian Ongwae, a former hockey player, has transformed into a seasoned golfer over the past decade, achieving significant milestones and now serving as captain of Kisii Sports Club. His transition into golf began in February 2016 and has seen him play across numerous notable courses in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

• Starting with a handicap of 28, Ongwae improved to a personal best handicap of 10.
• He captained Kisii Sports Club last year, aspiring for it to become a "beacon of golfing excellence in Western Kenya."
• Ongwae has played at at least 10 different clubs within Kenya and 4 in Uganda, plus one in Tanzania.
