Carolyne Odour fears for her two young sons, Daniel (12) and Elijah (9), who went missing two months ago with their father, a follower of a starvation cult. Ms. Odour has identified her husband's body at a Malindi mortuary and is awaiting DNA results on over 30 recently unearthed bodies linked to the cult.

• Over 400 bodies were found in 2023 near the Shakahola Forest, linked to self-proclaimed pastor Paul Mackenzie's starvation cult teachings.
• Ms. Odour's husband, Samuel Owino Owoyo, was found in July in Kwa Binzaro village, near the remote Shakahola Forest, after traveling 900km with their sons.
• Police believe Mr. Owoyo died by strangulation; 32 bodies and over 70 body parts have been exhumed in the area.
