Isaac Makokha, a hearing-impaired golfer, has triumphed at the 2025 Railway Invitation, defeating Kenya's top-ranked golfer, Michael Karanga. This victory marks a significant moment for disability sports in Kenya and highlights inclusivity in competitive golf, securing Makokha his first title since 2022.

• Makokha won with a score of 5-under (211), beating Karanga's 4-under (212) by a single stroke at the Kenya Railway Golf Club.
• President of the Kenya Sports Federation of the Deaf, Bernard Banja, described the win as "a proud and historic moment for the deaf sporting community."
• Makokha earned a prize of Shs 92,500 and will represent Kenya at the 2025 Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan.
