A multi-agency security team led by NACADA has dismantled a significant illicit alcohol operation in Kisumu County, destroying over 40,000 litres of contraband and apprehending two key suspects. This raid, part of a renewed national crackdown, took place in Pap Onditi area of Bolo, revealing a sprawling illegal enterprise.

• 40,000 litres of illicit brew, including 200 litres of finished chang’aa, 5,000 litres of molasses, and 35,000 litres of kangara, were destroyed.
• The operation was led by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), alongside National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) and a specialized Administration Police unit.
• Dr. Anthony Omerikwa, Chief Executive Officer of NACADA, stated this success is part of the government’s 100-day Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) to combat substance abuse.
