The Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) in Haiti held a memorial for Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve, a Kenyan officer who died in a road accident on Sunday, August 31, 2025, during a recovery operation in Pétion-Ville.

• The accident occurred when an armored vehicle crashed while towing another, resulting in Corporal Nzuve's death upon arrival at Lambert Santé Hospital.
• Nzuve, born March 8, 1984, was part of Kenya's third contingent to the MSS, joining the National Police Service in 2005.
• The accident also claimed two civilian lives and injured eight MSS officers. This marks the second death of a Kenyan officer since the MSS deployment in July 2025.
