Kajiado County, through the National Land Commission (NLC), has issued a notice to regularize land tenure by allocating 7,965 parcels across seven townships. This initiative aims to resolve longstanding land ownership disputes, with allocations taking effect 30 days from publication if no objections are filed.
- A total of 7,965 parcels will be allocated in townships including Kajiado (2,663), Noonkopir (2,572), and Namanga (1,715).
- The National Land Commission (NLC), led by chairman Gershom Otachi Bw’Omanwa, is facilitating the allocations on behalf of the County Government of Kajiado.
- The allocations, for residential and mixed-use purposes, are part of ongoing efforts, including a previous plan in November 2024 to allocate 375 parcels, and align with the county's 10-year Spatial Plan launched in July 2023.
