Daniel Kiptoo Bargoria, Director General of EPRA, has appealed a High Court ruling that restricted him from accessing or developing a disputed land parcel belonging to his late father in Uasin Gishu County.

• The ruling by Eldoret High Court Justice Reuben Nyakundi, delivered on August 11, 2025, issued restraining orders against Kiptoo from interfering with the estate of the deceased, Barnabas Tuitoek Bargoria.
• The disputed property, Kiplombe/Kuinet Block 2, measures approximately 12.26 hectares and is central to a succession battle between Kiptoo and his half-sister, Loise Jerop Bargoria.
• Kiptoo argues that the restraining orders prevent him from accessing his family home and will cause irreparable damage; he seeks an urgent hearing of his application.
