The officer in charge of Shimo la Tewa Maximum Prison, Abdi Willy Adan, has refuted claims by controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie of an alleged plot to poison him. Mackenzie, facing numerous murder charges related to the Shakahola massacre, told the Tononoka Children’s Court that suspicious substances had been planted in his cell.

• During a recent patrol, Adan met Mackenzie, who requested a transfer to Manyani Prison, a request denied due to the gravity of charges and cost implications.
