The United Opposition has officially appointed Mukhisa Kituyi as its spokesperson and Head of Secretariat. This significant announcement was made by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday, September 3.

• Mukhisa Kituyi previously served as Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) from 2013 to 2021.
• He will represent six political parties within the coalition, including the Democracy for the Citizens Party and the Wiper Party.
• Kituyi had a presidential ambition in 2022 before withdrawing to support Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
