NACADA, in collaboration with the Administration Police, has arrested two suspects and destroyed large quantities of illicit drugs and alcohol in a major crackdown in Sigalagala, Kakamega South. The operation targeted a significant narcotics and brewing network.

• Over 5,000 litres of chang’aa and 100,000 litres of ‘Sigalagala’ brew were destroyed.
• John Lisulu, alleged main supplier of cannabis sativa to students, was among those arrested.
• Dr. Anthony Omerikwa, NACADA Chief Executive Officer, stated that the crackdown will intensify under the government’s 100-Day Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) against substance abuse.
