A 60-year-old Kenyan man, Titus Ngonjo Gandi, has given a harrowing testimony before the Tononoka Children’s court about losing 12 relatives to the Shakahola cult massacre orchestrated by Pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie.

• Gandi’s wife, Esther Birya Masha, lured their two sons, Harry and Isaack Ngala, into Mackenzie’s cult.
• Both sons, their wives, and children abandoned education, employment, and responsibilities, with Harry, his wife, and their five children perishing.
• Isaack, a former General Service Unit (GSU) officer, and his wife, a government teacher, also died with two of their three children; only one grandson survived.
• Gandi managed to bury two of his 12 perished family members, with one grandson remaining unaccounted for.
