Effective October 2025, the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) has announced the schedule for its Internship Qualifying and Pre-Registration Examinations, a critical step for aspiring medical professionals in Kenya.

• Written examinations are set for Monday, October 27, with clinical exams occurring from Tuesday, October 28, to Wednesday, October 29.
• Candidates must register by Monday, September 29, at 5:00 pm, and provide evidence of successfully completing a four-month clinical rotation at recognized Internship Training Centres.
• The Chief Executive Officer of KMPDC, Dr David G. Kariuki, emphasized that these exams uphold professional standards and ensure legal compliance for medical and dental graduates.
• In July 2025, the Ministry of Health, under Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, revoked internship offers for 306 pre-interns due to discrepancies and unlawful listings in the Nursing Internship Placement.
