Kenya will partner with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to construct a multi-purpose arena in Nairobi capable of hosting major international basketball events, including the Basketball Africa League. This agreement, reached on Thursday, August 4, during talks between Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Salim Mvurya and NBA Africa Chief Executive Officer Clare Akamanzi, aims to boost sports infrastructure and talent development in Kenya.
