The Director General of the Haitian National Police, André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, offered condolences to Kenya after the tragic death of Kenyan officer Mutuku Nzuve, deployed under the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) in Haiti. Nzuve died on Sunday, August 31, following a road accident in Pétion-Ville during a recovery operation.

• Nzuve was pronounced dead at Lambert Santé Hospital in Pétion-Ville after the accident.
• Paraison led a high-level delegation to meet MSS leadership on Thursday, September 4, expressing regret over Nzuve's death and confirming continued support for the mission to eradicate gangs from Port-au-Prince.
• The body of Corporal Nzuve was airlifted to Sedimat Hospital in the Dominican Republic on Monday, September 1; two other Kenyan officers injured in the same accident are also receiving treatment there and are out of danger.
