Deputy President Kithure Kindiki expressed confidence that Africa will overcome poverty and insecurity through investment in trade, infrastructure, and digital transformation. Speaking at the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) in Algeria, Kindiki emphasized that economic empowerment is crucial, with trade as the primary vehicle to eradicate poverty.

• Kenya is aligning policies with continental vision, investing heavily in infrastructure projects such as the Lamu Port, LAPSSET Corridor, and Standard Gauge Railway, and implementing one-stop border posts to boost regional trade.
• DP Kindiki highlighted Kenya's progress in digital infrastructure, having laid 24,000 kilometres of fibre optic cable out of a planned 100,000-kilometre project.
• The Deputy President stressed the importance of inclusive growth, ensuring women, youth, and all regions benefit equally from Africa's prosperity.
