- Obado and 17 co-accused persons were facing 25 counts related to the alleged misappropriation of Ksh.73.4 million between 2013 and 2017.
- The plea deal was initiated through an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) request by the accused, with the ODPP engaging the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and defence lawyers.
- Forfeited properties include Loresho Ridge House (Ksh.40 million), Sunrise Centre Commercial Block (Ksh.88 million), and two Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles, totaling assets valued at three times the contested amount.
